Business Development Analyst – WWF Tanzania

Position Summary
WWF Tanzania is seeking a Business Development Analystto support the implementation of the Dutch Fund for Climate and Development (DFCD)and the WWF Nectar Fundin Tanzania.
The successful candidate will work closely with national, regional, and global WWF teams to identify and support high-impact businesses and investors that contribute to climate adaptation, environmental conservation, and sustainable economic development. The role combines business development, investment analysis, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
Reporting To
WWF Tanzania Country Office – DFCD and Nectar Fund Coordinator
(With technical support from the Regional Africa DFCD and Nectar Fund Team.)
Key Responsibilities
Identify and establish partnerships with high-impact businesses, financial institutions, and other strategic partners.
Support business assessments, due diligence processes, and portfolio management activities.
Assist in implementing, monitoring, and reporting on DFCD and WWF Nectar Fund projects in Tanzania.
Collaborate with WWF Tanzania teams to identify opportunities and align project activities with country strategies.
Organize and support stakeholder engagement events, workshops, and communication initiatives to raise awareness of DFCD and the WWF Nectar Fund.
Prepare regular operational reports and progress updates for national, regional, and international WWF teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in: Commerce Business Administration Finance Or a related field.

Experience & Skills
Minimum2 yearsof professional experience working with the private sector, financial institutions, or investors.
Good understanding of: Impact investing Blended finance Technical Assistance (TA)Grant financing Climate and environmental finance.

Strong interest or background in climate change, biodiversity, conservation, or sustainable development.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both English and Kiswahili.
