Job description
Job Title: Branch Manager Department: Commercial Location: Njombe Cashless Branch Application Deadline: July 20, 2026 Summary The Branchis accountable for the branch’s business growth, profitability, human resource planning and management, risk, control, and compliance. Reporting to: Commercial Manager Essential Duties Leadbusiness growth and development of the branch agent’s network to maximize return by organizing sales drives around agents focusing on recruiting new clients. Develop strategies and lead the branch team onexecuting strategies focusing on deposit mobilization, ensuring branch targets are met. Assure a high level of efficiency and accuracy in all back-office operations to support front-office staff and drive customer satisfaction. Ensure 100% compliance with the bank’s policies and procedures, ensuring all individuals understand and follow the stipulated guidelines. Provide leadership to all branch staff to maintain a professional and strong compliance environment, including regular communication of all FINCA policies and procedures. Oversee Branch staffing to ensure efficiency, productivity, and smooth operations. Monitor Branch performance versus the plan and provide explanations for variances and next steps. Complete daily Branch reports and internal audit responses in accordance with established standards and deadlines. Interpret Branch financial statements with a clear understanding of branch-level profit drivers, underlying causes of risk, and possible mitigations. Monitor and control Branch expenses to improve operational sustainability. Collaborate with the branch team to develop annual targets and outreach plans for the Branch, submitting them to the line Manager for review. Manage branch cash flow and liquidity planning through the timely submission of disbursement projections and operational expense requirements. Promote the bank’s brand image, leading the team to create awareness of services offered and Value-Added Services (VAS).Qualifications & Experience University Degree preferably in Commerce and Management, Business Administration, Banking, or any other related field. An MBA is an added advantage. At least 5 years’ work experience in a recognized Microfinance Institution or Commercial Bank. Computer Literacy.
