Job description

Job Title: Branch Supervisor Department: Commercial Location: Ifakara Branch Application Deadline: July 20, 2026 Summary The Branch Supervisor (BS) is responsible for supporting the branch to grow and build a sustainable business. This includes loan portfolio growth, maintaining a quality portfolio, and managing branch operations to ensure effective agentand adherence to proper controls. Reporting to: Branch Manager Essential Duties Control and oversee branch assets and environments. Manage the Loan Processing Function to ensure effective turnaround time and high quality of loan documentation. Review individual and group loan applications prepared by Sales Officers to ensure compliance and that all policy/procedure requirements have been met prior to submitting to the credit analyst. Supervise the recording and filing of all customer documents, including loan securities. Review all branch reports and ensure they are well-prepared. Develop and execute plans that allow the branch to achieve its targets and implement strategies set by the institution. Review market conditions and recommend appropriate changes to products, processes, and procedures. Regularly meet with the branch team to identify and propose solutions to issues affecting target achievement. Meet with clients to identify their needs, demands, and level of satisfaction with FINCA products and services. Plan sales activities together with Sales Officers, monitor implementation against the agreed plan, and provide guidance on areas for improvement. Plan and conduct performance appraisals for branch staff, identify gaps for improvement, and provide appropriate support. Monitor and motivate the team, ensuring each staff member follows the policies and procedures communicated by FINCA Microfinance Bank. Coach, mentor, and train branch sales staff to ensure they possess the right skills and knowledge to perform duties according to laid-down policies. Ensure all staff have performance targets, conduct timely evaluations, and manage performance in line with corporate procedures. Plan, approve, and monitor sales team expenses to ensure they remain within the agreed budget. Qualifications University Degree preferably in Commerce and Management, Business Administration, Banking, or any other related field. At least 3 years of work experience in a recognized Microfinance Institution or Commercial Bank. Computer Literacy.
