Job Purpose
TheSafety, Health and Environment (SHE) Inspectorwill provide effective support in managing the company’s Safety, Health, and Environmental programs, practices, policies, and standards.
The role ensures compliance with SHE objectives through implementation of safety systems, workplace inspections, employee awareness programs, risk management, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
The SHE Inspector will:
Support implementation and management of company SHE programs, policies, standards, and procedures.
Implement NOSA and ISO management systems.
Maintain daily presence within the plant to ensure proper housekeeping standards.
Promote SHE awareness through training, communication, and leading by example.
Conduct daily workplace and plant safety inspections.
Participate in monthly departmental SHE meetings.
Prepare daily inspection reports and provide data for monthly SHE reports.
Follow up on SHE reports, corrective actions, and unsafe conditions.
Conduct daily SHE toolbox talks within assigned areas.
Track, report, and follow up on SHE non-conformities.
Inspect work permits and ensure compliance with approved procedures.
Support compliance with national safety, health, and environmental legislation.
Inspect facilities and programs to evaluate operational effectiveness and compliance with SHE standards.
Participate in SHE incident investigations and provide recommendations.
Support planning and execution of emergency evacuation drills.
Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and statutory safety obligations.
Monitor compliance with environmental policies and regulations.
Ensure adherence to company codes of conduct, compliance policies, and guidelines.
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should possess:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields:
Occupational Safety, Health and Environment
Occupational Health and Safety
Disaster and Safety Management
Industrial Safety and Risk Management
Process Safety
Mechanical Engineering
Civil Engineering
Industrial Engineering
Any related field
Professional Certifications
Required certification in one or more of the following:
NEBOSH
SAMTRAC
NOSHC
NOSA
Equivalent safety certification
Experience and Technical Skills
Candidates should have:
Minimum3 years of experience in SHE-related roles.
