About the Role
TotalEnergies Marketing Tanzania Limited is seeking anInventory & Stock Analystto manage inventory, stock reconciliation,reporting, and SAP inventory transactions. The successful candidate will ensure inventory records are accurate, support month-end financial activities, and maintain compliance with company accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
Prepare fuel and lubricant invoices for processing by the Shared Service Center (SSC).
Support the SSC team in completing finance transactions.
Manage and review inventory transactions for completeness and accuracy.
Perform month-end stock reconciliation.
Conduct month-end stock counts and identify inventory variances.
Process approved stock adjustments in SAP.
Monitor fuel reception losses and MI losses for SAP processing after management approval.
Financial Accounting
Prepare the daily Moving Average Price (MAP) for products.
Reconcile vendor accounts and General Ledger (GL) balances.
Post monthly fixed charges, including amortization and fixed expenses.
Account for all local costs related to imported products.
Capture VAT paid on imported lubricants accurately and on time.
Reconcile product borrowing and loan transactions with other Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs).
Perform monthly Class 3**** General Ledger analysis.
Prepare and monitor Priority Accounting Controls (CCP) each month.
Reporting & Compliance
Prepare and distribute monthly product adjustment reports.
Respond to inventory-related queries from external auditors and the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA).
Ensure inventory records comply with company policies and accounting standards.
Meet reporting deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Required Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) inFinanceorAccounting.
Professional qualification:CPAorACCA(Mandatory).
CPAor
ACCA(Mandatory).
Experience
Minimum3 yearsof experience working in a Finance department.
Experience usingSAPor similar accounting software.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and stock reconciliation.
Experience with SAP accounting software.
