Job Title: Team Lead – IT & Digital Banking Control Company: UBA Tanzania Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania Employment Type: Full-Time Application Deadline: August 9, 2026 About the Role UBA Tanzania is seeking a detail-oriented Team Lead – IT & Digital Banking Control to oversee security risk detection, regulatory compliance, and control advisory across the Bank’s digital banking and IT infrastructure. The role ensures zero-tolerance for IT operational losses, verifies logical access security, and conducts comprehensive risk assessments for all digital channels. Key Responsibilities: IT Security & Control Oversight: Monitor compliance with logical access policies, manage information security risks, and ensure outsourced IT functions strictly adhere to SLAs and security standards. E-Channels & Digital Assessment: Conduct risk evaluations and technical security checks on e-channels platforms, databases, and automated income lines; participate in UAT for new products. Audit & Regulatory Compliance: Track and resolve open audit issues, regulatory examiners’ findings, and statutory report items related to IT systems. Advisory & Reporting: Deliver risk-based counseling on emerging cyber threats and submit qualitative compliance reports to the Head of Internal Control. Candidate Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline. 1 to 2 years of direct experience in IT control, systems audit, or digital banking risk management. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CRISC, ISO 27001, PCI DSS) are a distinct advantage. Strong proficiency in Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs), systems auditing, and regulatory compliance interpretation.
