The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy-duty trucks, commercial vehicles, and complex pneumatic/hydraulic systems to maintain fleet reliability and workplace safety. Key Responsibilities Diagnostic & Troubleshooting:Use computerized diagnostic tools and manual troubleshooting to identify engine, transmission, electrical, and mechanical faults. Preventative Maintenance:Conduct routine scheduled inspections, oil changes, fluid checks, and tune-ups to extend vehicle life and prevent road breakdowns. Major Component Repairs:Repair or overhaul diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, steering components, and suspension systems. Air Brake & Pneumatic Systems:Inspect, service, and repair complex air brake systems, valves, and pneumatic lines. Safety Compliance:Ensure all repaired vehicles meet stringent safety and roadworthiness standards and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Candidate Qualifications & Requirements Experience:7+ years of proven hands-on experience as a heavy-duty truck or commercial vehicle mechanic. Technical Knowledge:Deep understanding of heavy diesel engines, air brake systems, and hydraulic/pneumatic controls. Core Skills:Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
