Fraud Analyst

Fraud Analyst 24/7 — Tanzania Empowerment Forum Limited (TEF Consult) About the Role TheFraud Analyst 24/7will be responsible for detecting and preventing fraud through continuous monitoring of fraud alerting systems forM-PESA and GSM services. The role focuses on real-time surveillance, rapid response to fraud alerts, timely escalation of suspicious activities, and supporting regulatory fraud investigations when required. Key Responsibilities Continuously monitor real-time data and fraud alerts to detect and respond to suspicious activities within established SLAs. Conduct initial analysis of fraud alerts and incidents using fraudtools. Accurately document findings and escalate cases to the relevantFraud Analyst,, or investigation team. Perform initial checks and take immediate action to minimize potential financial losses. Assist in preparing and submitting information required for regulatory fraud investigations. Maintain strict confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in all activities. Qualifications & Requirements MinimumDiploma or Degree. IT or a related fieldis an added advantage. At least1 year of progressive experience in the telecommunications industry. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with people at different levels. High level of integrity, honesty, and confidentiality. Ability to worknight shiftsand within a24/7 shift pattern. Proficiency in:Microsoft WordMicrosoft PowerPointMicrosoft Excel Microsoft Word Microsoft PowerPoint Microsoft Excel Work Schedule This position operates on a24/7 shift pattern. Shift times may vary depending on operational requirements and flexible scheduling needs. Candidates should therefore be prepared to work different shifts, including night shifts.
