The role focuses on, systems integration, application administration, technical support, and cloud-native technology. Job Details Role Purpose The position is responsible forsystems administration, technical support, software development and systems integrationinitiatives, ensuring VAS applications remain secure, reliable, scalable and aligned with Vodacom standards. Key Responsibilities Software Development & Integration Develop and maintain software according to Vodacom’s SDLC and development standards. Collaborate with backend teams on solution implementation and integration. Participate in VAS, IT, billing and other technology projects. Design, code, test and deploy applications. Systems Administration Manage application and system configurations. Ensure systems comply with security policies and industry best practices. Administer Linux, Windows Server and Unix environments. Manage system capacity, backup and restore processes. Incident & Service Management Manage incidents, system problems and service requests according to SLAs. Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Support Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning. Maintain reliable and optimal service availability. DevOps & Cloud Work within a DevOps culture. Apply Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices. Work with cloud-native environments and architectures. Support microservices, APIs and public-cloud PaaS/IaaS environments. Testing & Quality Experience with: Unit testing Integration testing Smoke testing Static code analysis Backlog item estimation Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in: Computer Science Computer Engineering Information Technology Or an equivalent qualification Required Technical Experience At least2 years’ experience in programming, with exposure to languages such as: C# C/C++ Python JavaScript Java PHP ASP Visual Basic Go/Golang APIs & Networking Strong hands-on experience withRESTful APIs, including design, integration and troubleshooting.
