The company is seeking a qualified Crane Operator to support lifting and material-handling activities at its GGM site in Geita Region, Tanzania. Job Title: Crane Operator Company:Fabec Investment LimitedLocation:GGM Site, Geita Region, TanzaniaNumber of Positions:1Work Schedule:Two-shift rotation (day and night) Key Duties and Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Operate cranes to lift, move, and position plant components safely. Inspect cranes and lifting equipment before each use to ensure they are in safe working condition. Follow approved lifting plans and crane load charts. Follow instructions from signalers and other authorized personnel during lifting operations. Observe safe lifting procedures and ensure loads remain within approved limits. Apply appropriate rigging practices when handling loads. Comply with workplace health and safety requirements throughout lifting operations. Qualifications and Requirements Applicants should meet the following requirements: Possess a valid crane operator licence or certificate. Have at least two to three years of experience operating cranes in mining or plant environments. Demonstrate knowledge of crane load limits, rigging, and safe lifting practices. Be able to follow lifting plans, load charts, and signaler instructions. Be willing to work on a two-shift rotation covering day and night shifts.
