Quick answer
Public service jobs in Namibia are applied for on form 156043, Application for Employment, one form per post. Fill in every part, mark choices with an X, sign the declaration, and attach the Health Questionnaire, a CV and certified copies of your certificates and ID. Leaving any of these out means disqualification.
The Office of the Prime Minister, Department of Public Service Management, publishes public service vacancies in numbered PSM circulars, each with an annexure listing the posts, their requirements and where to send applications. PSM Circular No. H of 2025, for example, was advertised on 17 September 2025 and closed on 17 October 2025.
Anyone may apply: the circular says candidacy is not limited to public servants, and that preference goes to Namibian nationals. Applications are addressed to the Executive Director of the office, ministry or agency named in the annexure.
Write the circular number, the post designation and the post number (where there is one) on every form. A separate application is needed for each post.
| Item | Who asks for it | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Form 156043, Application for Employment | Every applicant | One form per post, filled in full; mark choices with an X |
| Health Questionnaire (form 156094) | Every applicant | Printed with the form; complete it in full and attach it |
| Your CV | Every applicant | The form says a CV must be attached by all applicants; the circular asks for a comprehensive one |
| Certified copies of your educational certificates | Every applicant | Qualifications from outside Namibia must be evaluated by the Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA) |
| Certified copy of your identification document | Every applicant | The form also asks for passport and work permit numbers where they apply |
| Letter confirming your probation | Serving public servants | Asked for in part C if your probation is confirmed |
Use the same job titles, the same dates and the same qualification names on your CV as in parts E and F, so nothing on the form contradicts it, and put the requirements from the circular's annexure where they can be seen at once. The circular counts appropriate experience from any rank or post, including the private sector, so list it all.
Keep it to two pages, most recent first: contact details with +264, a short profile written for the post, work experience with what you achieved, education with your NSSCO and NSSCAS results or older NSSCH, then skills. Save it as a PDF to print, so the layout does not move.
Build it on your phone, run the free ATS check, then print it with the form. The same CV works for private employers on NIEIS and LinkedIn.
Form 156043 is available at government offices, and several ministries and agencies post it as a PDF on their websites, for example the National Planning Commission. We do not host the form; use an official copy.
Yes. The form's own notes say a CV must be attached by all applicants, and the PSM circulars ask for a comprehensive CV. The form has room for four jobs; the CV gives the panel the full picture.
No. The form and the circular both ask for a separate application for each post, with the circular number and post number written on each form.
The circular says all foreign qualifications must be evaluated by the Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA). Get the evaluation before you apply and attach it with your certified copies.
The circular asks for the form, a CV and certified copies; it does not ask for a letter. If a particular advert asks for one, our application letter guide shows the format.
Build it on your phone with help on the wording, print it, and put it in the envelope with form 156043.
