Build a resume in three steps
Most people finish a first draft in about 15 minutes on a phone.
Pick a resume template
Choose one of the US designs: one page, no photo, readable by applicant tracking systems. You can switch later without retyping.
Fill it in with help
Type your jobs, school and skills. AI suggests duty lines and a summary from what you say, written in US English, and never invents numbers.
Preview free, pay once
See every page before you pay. Download the PDF and a Word file, then edit and download again free for a year.
Why people switch to a resume builder that bills once
The big resume builders start with a low trial and then bill every four weeks until you cancel. This one does not.
One payment
You pay once for the resume you built. No trial that turns into a monthly charge, no card kept on file for renewals.
Built for your phone
Every step works on a phone, from the first field to the download. Your work saves on the phone as you go.
ATS-friendly
Real text, standard headings and a clear reading order, so Workday, Greenhouse, iCIMS and Taleo read it correctly.
US conventions built in
US Letter paper, no photo, no references section, and a phone number printed the US way.
Or build it by chatting
The AI CV Agent asks one question at a time and writes your resume as you answer. Paste a job posting and it aims every line at that job.
Edit it for a year
Change jobs, add a role or aim it at a new posting, and download the new version again free.
Professional CV templates
Recruiter-tested designs that pass applicant tracking systems. Pick one and personalise it in minutes.

Frequently asked questions
Is this resume builder free?
Building and previewing your resume is free, with no account needed to start. Downloading the finished PDF and Word file is one payment at checkout. There is no trial, no subscription and nothing renews, so you are never billed again.
Do I need to sign up to use the resume builder?
No. You can start, fill in every section and preview your resume without creating an account. An account is only offered after you download, to keep your resume in one place.
How is this different from Zety, Resume Now or Resume Genius?
Those builders start with a low trial and then bill about every four weeks until you cancel. CV Chap Chap charges once for the resume you built, works without sign-up until checkout, and is built for phones. Our review pages compare them in detail.
Will my resume be one page?
For most people, yes. The templates are designed for one page on US Letter, and the preview counts your real pages from the PDF. If you have under about seven years of experience and run onto a second page, it tells you and suggests how to trim.
Is the resume ATS-friendly?
Yes. Every resume prints real text with standard headings in a clear order, which applicant tracking systems read correctly. You can check it with our free ATS resume checker before you apply.
Can I upload my old resume?
Yes. Upload a PDF or Word resume and we read it into the builder, so you only fix what changed. You can also take a photo of a printed resume in the AI CV Agent.
Does the AI write things that are not true?
No. The AI only rewords what you tell it. It never adds employers, dates, numbers or achievements you did not give, and anything it cannot know is left for you to fill in.
Can I use it in Canada?
Yes. A Canadian phone number or city sets the same resume conventions: Letter paper, no photo and the word resume.
